Agarwood Oil Blueish Oud | Officially Sealed from October 2026
šøš¬ Blueish Oud A | Sealed from October 2026
This bottle comes from my first batch of Sumatra wild agarwood oil, distilled in 2019 after I invested in an oud distillery.
I call her āBlueish Oudā because when she was first distilled, the oil genuinely carried a rare bluish tone. I still keep the original photos, and Iām happy to share them with fellow agarwood lovers who are interested.
After seven years of ageing, the colour has gradually developed into a distinctive greenish-brown, still different from the usual brown commonly seen in oud oil.
To achieve this result, good raw material alone is not enough. It requires a special broad-leaf agarwood species from Sumatra, together with a distiller who can control the temperature, timing, heat and every stage of the process precisely.
Just like cooking, the same ingredients can give a very different result when the heat is handled differently.
For me, the person behind the distillation matters too. Skill is important, but so are character, mindset and positive energy. I believe someone who respects the material and works with the right intention will create something with its own character and presence.
This 700ml bottle of Blueish Oud is, to me, one of the finest and most worthy bottles from this batch to preserve.
So from October 2026, I have decided to officially seal her. ā¼ļø
People cellar fine wine and age fine tea because time can slowly transform them. Oud oil can be the same. With years of quiet ageing, the aroma may become smoother, deeper and more layered, sometimes developing a refinement that was not there at the beginning.
If you ever find an oud oil that you truly love, you may want to keep one bottle, seal it well and let time do the rest.
" Sometimes, the most beautiful part of collecting oud oil is discovering what time has quietly added to it "
